I like the contrast between the act of killing and the baptism, symbol of the begining of life, I think is one of the strongest scene ever. One of the greatest mafia and gangster films i have seen. The energy of the people playing is incredible, feels like they"re soul is enchanted and they"re lost in the sound.
This concert is not personal. It"s just business

To those that gave it a thumbs down, remember this scene. Can you let me off the hook, just this once? For old time"s sake? Can"t do it Sal. The fact that the best scene is literally the first one shows how great this movie was. I believe in America. America has made my fortune. And I raised my daughter in the American fashion. I gave her freedom but I taught her never to dishonor her family. She found a boyfriend, not an Italian. She went to the movies with him. She stayed out late. I didn"t protest. Two months ago he took her for a drive, with another boy friend. They made her drink whiskey and then they tried to take advantage of her. She resisted. She kept her honor. So they beat her, like an animal. When I went to the hospital her nose was broken. Her jaw was shattered, held together by wire. She couldn"t even weep because of the pain. But I wept. Why did I weep? She was the light of my life. A beautiful girl. Now she will never be beautiful again.
The greatest power play in history. Best movies ever. They said that Brando likes cats since he"s young. Vitos voice always makes me clear my throat. Robert Duvall- acting Genius. This guy sounds like luca changretta from peaky blinders seaosn 4.
Jesus clemenze"s hands looks he just cleaned up the engine of a car. Moe died like he yawned then went to sleep lmao. Is this better then peaky blinders, I would love to watch I need motivation. Damn this gave me chills. In a deleted scene one of the family members put RUST in the god farther "s is why his VOICE was rusty and horse. The last hit outside is really satisfying to watch for some reason. Where can I watch The Godfather without having to start a free trial and all that shenanigans. RIP Abe Vigoda! Nobody could play Tessio better. Sad to think this is the last time he sees sonny.
These effects aren"t very special
Thank goodness that they did not choose Richard Conte (who played Barzini) to play as the godfather. I heard that production company big shots insisted on him because they considerably disliked Marlon Brando. Frances Coppola, the Director, won with his Brando choice at the end, with great difficulty. Coppola also insisted on the unknown Al Pacino who was hated by those same big shot idiots. 4:25 that mafia cop is badass ??. The peoples who disliked this video should be given an offer they can"t refuse. The son of a Mafia boss returns from the war and following an attempt on his father"s life becomes more and more embroiled in the shadowy world of organized crime. Francis Ford Coppola"s classic gangster saga is the story of a criminal dynasty headed by Marlon Brando in one of his most iconic roles. Coppola"s direction is deceptively simple in that he uses no gimmicks or stylistic tricks; he merely allows the story to unfold and lets the superb cast do their thing. Brando"s mumbling family and loyalty obsessed don has since become part of popular culture folklore (along with the classic score) and all other accompanying performances are top notch, from James Caan"s hot headed Santino to Robert Duval"s purely business orientated adviser. But this film is really the story of Michael"s transition from honest war hero to shadowy underworld figure, played by Al Pacino in his finest role. The pivotal scene in which his newborn godson is baptized while Michael himself, the newborn "Godfather" is baptized in blood is an all time great. This is the birth of the modern gangster film and with the possible exception of Goodfellas, it is still to be surpassed. Source.
Damn every actor in this movie tries to steal the scene that they are in. Wow! I watched countless times, but every time, feel same level of intensity and tension in this particular scene. Master Class.
